Today we are looking into trucks for our preschool theme of the day.

Why? Well, yesterday my oldest was watching Dora the Explorer and rediscovered trucks. Now all day today he is telling me I want trucks. I don’t have any… etc, etc. This is what we are doing to celebrate trucks (instead of his favorite, which for the past 3 weeks was trains).

Activity

These are the thoughts I have for activities and a few links to others you can use if you don’t like mine.

I think a fun thing to do would be to call an appliance store and ask for a big large box, then let the kids crawl into it (once home) and pretent to drive it. This is my favorite idea because it will keep them active all day.

If you have a dog this is going to be an easy theme to cover. Here is what you can do if you have a dog: Take your dog for a walk with the little ones. Talk to them about how important it is for the doggy to get daily walks and point out how much the doggy likes going for a walk. If possible let the kids take turns holding the leash and walking the dog.
